The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regards to the high number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to sassa status service the area every day. The provider position made for intervention activities a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
